    Main F1 2018 Features in Mod

    In League version, all cars have the same Engine-Physics set, while in Single Player version the cars are different in Engine, and physics , team by team, reflecting the F1 2018 season.

    Physics model of cars is based on real F1 2018 features: drag is lightly increased respect to 2017 due to Halo, maintaining always high downforce, while car weight ( including driver, but without fuel ) is actually 733 Kg. Inertia values of cars have been adapted to the new weight. Fuel tank quantity is 142 liters, considering a max capacity for car of 105 kg ( 140 litres ) like FIA rules imposed, with a max fuel flow over 10.500 rpm of 100 Kg/hour. On the other hand, fuel consumption, in engine files, is 2,7 Km/liter.

    The architecture of chassis is based on realistic scheme of F1 suspensions and steering arms position; cars are balanced in a realistic way (46% on front and 54% on rear: FIA rules are imposing a minimum value of weight on front and rear sections of cars, for which basic division of weight is ranging on front from 45,4% to 46,4, while on rear the weight is ranging from 54,6% to 53,6 ). Front and rear wheeltrack values are realistic, together with the wheelbase ( actually is more than 3700 mm ).

    Many F1 2018 cars have a longer wheelbase, respect to the 2017 sizes, in order to better support increased engine power and larger tyres. However, since there are no still official data, in this version of Mod all cars have the same wheelbase.

    Tyres ( TGM and TBC files ) have been updated in their diameter, width, rolling resistance, mass inertia and grip.

    Tyre compounds have been selected by Pirelli and FIA until the Mexican GP

    You should find correct tyre compounds in game through the TrackConfigsbase ini file. But….

    In RF2, AI drivers are able to load only one compound for race, and commonly , with dry weather, it is the hardest one.

    In this Mod, AI drivers are forced to load the most soft compound among every dry tyre sets ( for example, Ultrasoft between US,SS,S, or Supersoft between SS,S,M, and so on ).

    Tyre Grip ( and wear ) are increased respect to 2017 season because Pirelli shifted all compounds toward a more tender line ( therefore, 2018 Hard are like 2017 Medium, 2018 Medium are like 2017 Soft, and so on) adding 2 new compounds: Hypersoft and SuperHard. Alrthough probably Superhard will not be used during the season, in Mod Tyre compounds are available among all the 9 Pirelli compounds for the F1 2018 Championship: Hypersoft, Ultrasoft, SuperSoft, Soft, Medium, Hard, SuperHard, Intermediate, and Wet.

    Grip and wear are different in compounds and are reflecting performances of 2018 tyres.

    Steering degrees ( lock to lock ) in a real F1 car may vary from 360 to 540°, depending on track, or personal driver needs; wheels rotation in a real F1 car is commonly around 14-15°, while in some tracks ( Monaco, for example ) it can be more than 20°.

    Physics files are reflecting these aspects, but every player may load her/his preferred setting in Game menu: now there are several choices. Real F1 steering wheels are assisted; therefore, don’t guess You need strong values of steering wheel.

    Camber of wheels has been adapted to 2018 cars, following values imposed by Pirelli and FIA in all F1 tracks ( actually updated until GP of Hungary ).

    For the same reason, tyre pressure is realistically adapted to last 2018 FIA and Pirelli recommendations.

    Updated Upgrade files for all teams including basic setups ( AI ) until GP of Russia;

    updated all Physics/chassis files for all teams; updated engine files;

    now all helmet 2018 textures for drivers are present;

    better tuning of car sound.

  • Découverte toute fraiche de ce matin. Ultra plaisant à piloter. Presque difficile d'aller chercher la limite tant les voitures sont rapides.

    Ça m'aidera a tenir pendant cette période de sevrage de championnat sur rfro et de F1.

      5) Updated Gen file of Williams in order to see in external T cam view the cockpit Motec ( missing in previous version )
      6) Updated all helmet position in cockpits, now more realistic in the driver position
      7) Updated all car camera files in some views

    The mod has now new tgm tires ( based on last contact patch F1 S 397 tires ). I had to update tbc files, and physics-chassis complex.Minor updates on engines, and upgrade files.

    vous avez donc le choix entre la 1.36 ou la nouvelle 2.2
