I don't get it.
Maybe i wasn't clear enough but i'm gonna use them (x12 up and low and pin 1 from x11 low) as button function. No encoder or anything else.
So both will need a shift (Pin7) to dooble the number of button.
If it's wrong, i'm ready for it but show me THE GOOD WAY... that's what i'm asking for since the beginning.
And nowhere there's is a schema to connect.
Etienne told me that this way is good, so that means we both are wrong. Which is possible but show me where i'm wrong and how to do it then !

That is wrong. Only one button per physical pin. The shift functionality is done in software.
And what you wrote, to me, seems impossible.
If its only done by software how would you connect 14 other buttons without using the same pins as for the 14 based ones...
There's two possible ways, the one i proposed or by having Pin 7 on a shift button and need to presse both (the shift and a button) to activate it. Otherwise, even if it goes through software, i won't work ... only 15 pins connectable and 28 buttons in hand... how you connect the 13 others ???
I'll accept every idea but what i want is THE GOOD ONE and since there's no doc about it...

I did a button wiring diagram here, with excel. It shows the directinput buttons that are reported to PC. There might be some ordering that is wrong as I did not check what the code is actually doing.
Only one button per input pin, in every case.

Tanks for the diagrams. Nice of you.
So it's actually 14 physical buttons that has two uses depending if you press the Shift one or not if i'm correct.
The good thing is the buttons economy but the, tricky one is that i'm gonna have to press 2 buttons in order to get 15-28 functions.
At all, i'll have 15 buttons in front of me, 14/28 usefull for the game and 1 for shifting. Am I good this time ?
And last not but not least, is this "config" correct into Simucube software in order to emulate this 28 buttons PLUS the 29th (Pin 7 of x12 upper)
Thank you again.

Yes, that is correct. When hold X12 pin 7 button pressed and then click any other button, they get shifted to the 15-28 buttons.
