Set Peak Current limit (MMC) a bit higher than the Continous Current Limit (MCC). Then the drive should initialize properly.
DIY - [SimuCUBE] Firmware : progress and discussion

Hi,
I should put 17 on MMC ? (before, it was on 4)
Do you confirm ?
Thanks

I do not know what has happened there. Early Simucube firmware versions did not reset the maximum current right before firmware update, and that might have been the reason, but difficult to know.
-
mtakala ok thank you for the reactivity.
I hope this is the only setting that has changed... it's from AUGURY, I will ask them...
-
mtakala for exemple, I lost the bumpstop effect ramp range, however, it reamains at 20°... Do you know what could be the reason ?
An other question : Is that possible to have an default configuration of the IONI for each motors with or by the simucube software ?
We realize that the simucube hardware are "hand make" and for the software settings, it seems that everyone does it in his own way, repecting certain basic rules...
-
Default configuration for motors does not really fit into the available flash memory on IONI. There are good DRC file packages being shared on many forums, so going fully manual is not really anything other than users personal choice.

mtakala thanks you for the reply and for your help.
Do you have an explanation about the bumpstop effect ramp range that I lost. However, the setting is the same before my problem
Thank you by advance

Hi AustinPower , I do not understand what you mean by lost bumbstop ramp range?
-
Hi mtakala
With this effect, I have had a sort of resistance (a prgression) when I was almost at the "stop" . Now, I feel nothing. No range effect.
Thank you very much for your help

Ah, ok. That of course should not be happening. Have you tried to set each of those values into some other value, and save settings to Simucube? Try for example 40%, 19 degrees and 5%

The BumpStop effect works. But not the ramp range and the dampingEffect.
I've changed with the values you suggested, but nothing happens...

mtakala Hi,
I'm a crap, I confused 2 effects. The effects that I have had before, was "the desktop centering spring" It was not activated. Now it is, and everythings works great.
Sorry for making you waste your time.
Thanks you for your help.

I did test the ramp range parameter yesterday, and it worked for me; I could set a strict bumbstop or one with a larger ramp, and the difference was noticeable. Good that you got it sorted now
